Sponsorships
Galloper supports a number of local initiatives through mutually-beneficial sponsorships that help to broaden the profile and awareness of the wind farm while becoming actively engaged with worthwhile community activities. The sponsorships are focussed in and around the Tendring area as it is where our operations & maintenance facility is based, in effect this is our neighbourhood and we aim to be good neighbours.

Harwich Maritime Festival
Galloper is a sponsor of the 2019 Maritime Festival – the largest annual community celebration of Harwich’s rich maritime history. Organised by Harwich Haven Authority, the event is on at the iconic Ha’penny Pier and Harwich Quay and incorporates the annual RNLI Lifeboat Day. There will be more than 50 stalls, live entertainment and water based activities for the thousands of expected visitors. Galloper will have an information stand, giveaways and one of the Seacat wind farm crew transfer vessels berthed at the pier.
Blue Ribbon Business Awards
Galloper is the sponsor of the inaugural Sustainability and Environment Business Award, one of the Blue Ribbon Tendring Business Awards 2019. The awards celebrate the achievements and initiatives of local businesses and groups and highlight them to the wider Tendring area. Galloper’s award is for a business that has shown a commitment to sustainability and care for the environment through products, services or in the way it operates. The awards will be presented at a gala event in October.
Youth Award for Environment
Galloper sponsored the inaugural Environment Initiative Award, part of the Tendring Youth Awards, presented to an individual or group (aged 8-21) who has significantly contributed to improving or caring for the environment. Worthy winners from Harwich, Teen Talk Wildlife Group, won the 2019 award as well as a £250 bursary that will enable them to continue developing their environmental initiatives, such as habitat construction and wildlife monitoring, into the future.
